Work is underway on research and design to develop an updated control unit based on VERSION 2 which will suit application to control 2HP motors driving twin stirrers – Control Unit V2 (2HP).

A short feature film has been produced which gives an overview of BD Stirrer Control VERSION 2 and has some close up footage of the float mechanism in action.

Control Units V2 (1HP) are available dependant on stock of components and build time requirements – V2 (1HP) integrates power supply, motor control logic, and direction change switching in one unit. The final product is a packaged kit with everything you need to get up and running after a quick trip to your local electrician..

There is additional design work to take this functionality further again..

VERSION 3 may see a head unit integrating power supply and motor logic control, and separate direction change control units, with the ability to add up to three switching units to one control unit. Making it much more cost effective for anyone who has 2 or 3 stirrers which they wish to run simultaneously.

The VERSION 3 design would be a potential alternate for Control Unit V2 (2HP) for larger operations with updated software to control multiple stirrers, R&D on this design may commence in the near future after 2HP control units are available and working for currently interested parties, pricing for these units will be available once the design has been finalised and ‘Prototype #3’ constructed and tested working in the field.
